CVS done, a few comments:

that likely is not worth it

* I didn't branch for EL-5 yet; see comment #2; In short

 * I'm still inclined to drop the whole idea with the EL repo if nobody steps
up and feel responsible for it

 * we need to work out how to deal with kmods in EL land; we have three choices
afaics:

  1) go with the stuff from EL-5 (no akmods, a bit different from the stuff we
use for recent Fedora versions)

  2) use the same stuff we use in recent Fedora versions

  3) a mix of what's in EL-5 and recent Fedora versions

 I (right now) prefer solution 3, but that option might change when looking at
the details
