Why aren't you using the same repackaged version of blender that fedora use,
Most of the dependencies there should be taken out of the archive
anyway...(except ftgl if it cannot be updated to use the system one for F-12).
I've updated the source packaging method for the fedora side, please get in
sync with it.

I don't understand what the status of the script to be merged?
What if scripts got removed (example: some are from 2.48 to 2.49 update, which
produce broken symlinks that will remains).
I've spent few hours to improve the script, but this problem will remains.
(scripts could be removed
For the longer term, what blender-wrapper does should be implemented in the
blender binary IMO. (or just look for multiple system/user scripts directories
but bind writable directory to user relative ones).

I have a problem with blender been updated to 2.49 for F-10 before yafaray
0.1.0 is ready. Specially as the previous yafray 0.0.9 support has been dropped
with this update. Once yafaray is ready, the F-10 update can be done (then
blender-freeworld introduced to F-10) But I'm not fan of major version changes
for every current Fedora release, specially as we are now in "the real world"
with all the system dependencies.
