I don't see how calling exit() from a shared lib would be a review blocker!
rpmlint warns about it because it is not a nice thing to do, but:
* this is an upstream issue,
* in most cases, changing it is an API change,
* there are plenty of libraries in Fedora which call exit,
so this is not a valid reason to block the review at all.
