About the EVR, the idea was to use the same scheme as glibc . Using 1.0.0.90
would be the development version of 1.0.1. But I've not received a special
agreement on this point. So using 1.0.0-0.1 or 1.0.0-0.90.1 would be fine until
an official versioned snapshot is done along with 1.0.0 release of vlc.

BTW are you sure you need to tweak perm of :
chmod +x $RPM_BUILD_ROOT%{python_sitearch}/vlcwidget.py ?
