Too bad their logs starts in 2009: I attempted packaging HB about one
year ago and talking with them about packaging issues was the most
frustrating and painful experience I've ever had with _any_ upstream.
Browsing the log it seems you've got a little bit better treatment,
probably because you did not insist too much about unbundling libs...

I voted for 3 by dropping my efforts previously. Of course, if there
is a dedicated maintainer which is able to go through 2 (I believe
it's a _lot_ of work) it would be fine. 1 is a no-go.
