Actually my read on http://www.audiocoding.com/faac.html and a license review
on Ubuntu: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/faac/+bug/374900 is that
the issue is that the code isn't really LGPL (even if it is redistributable),
rather than because of patent issues, at least not directly.  But I could be
wrong in my interpretation.
