FreeOrion is a free, open source, turn-based space empire and galactic conquest
(4X) computer game being designed and built by the FreeOrion project. FreeOrion
is inspired by the tradition of the Master of Orion games, but is not a clone
or remake of that series or any other game.

This package cannot be included in Fedora due to dependency on ogre-cg.

$ rpmlint FreeOrion-0.3.13-1.r3353.fc12.src.rpm
FreeOrion.src: W: invalid-url Source0: FreeOrion-0.3.13.r3353.tar.gz

The project does not release source code, the download page points to creating
svn snapshot. I've chosen to go with newer revision than the official "0.3.13"
because of cmake support.

$ rpmlint FreeOrion-0.3.13-1.r3353.fc12.x86_64.rpm
FreeOrion-debuginfo-0.3.13-1.r3353.fc12.x86_64.rpm
FreeOrion.x86_64: E: devel-dependency GiGi-devel
FreeOrion.x86_64: W: dangling-relative-symlink /usr/bin/freeorion-wrapper
opengl-game-wrapper.sh
2 packages and 0 specfiles checked; 1 errors, 1 warnings.

The -devel dependency is an ugly hack to workaround Fedora bug #573672. I don't
expect this package to be accepted immediately (at least it needs to wait for
GiGi ...), so I hope the bug gets fixed and the dependency removed well before
this review is finished.

The symlink leads to a script which is included within the required package
opengl-games-utils (Fedora Games SIG rule to use the wrapper).

This package needs GiGi, which is not in Fedora yet - the review request is
here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=571416

Known issues: On Fedora 12, the program segfaults on exit - this is known Boost
1.39 bug, see for example here:
http://lists.boost.org/boost-users/2009/05/48047.php

There is a lot of ugly hacks that need to be resolved with upstream. I file
this request to have a starting point, at least something working for now.
