Hi Richard,

I will be back next week to proceed an eventual CVS request, but this
need to be requested by the primary maintainer.

On a general view on the interaction problem between kdenlive and mlt,
you might consider to backport the support for mlt 0.7x to the current
kdenlive, if possible.
Or even to package a snapshoot version if its easier.
