Currently the revision of mplayer for both f13 and f14 is based on a relatively old mplayer
version:

There are significant updates to mplayer in the last couple of months,
including new code to perform multithreaded decoding and therefore allow
videos that decode the .h264 at higher resolutions.

Could you please update the rpms with a later version of mplayer?
