ENOTIME to read the whole thread, but:
akmod/kmodtool for el6 need few changes before to be introduced.
- kmodtool: Switch from Requires = kernel-uname-r dependency style to some kABI
dependency style.(or even
- akmod: avoid a rebuilt on every kernel/kernel-devel update.
Note that I haven't done any test about this so I'm blindly expecting those
needs.

I want theses modifications on top of the devel branch , so there will probably
have a need to rework the prefix switch for the module directory name and
others.

Both prefix/kabi behavior should be turned into an option switch.

To maintain kmodtool/akmod means browsing for already reported bugs and fixing
some that could occurs in el6 and later...

The longer term plans is probably to convince rpm upstream to merge the tool
in.
