I think this will create more confusion for the users. The source file in
/etc/profile.d/ is marked as config file, so it's up to the user to change it
(if they want).

In my opinion what we should do is to ship a package that is as close as
possible to the Fedora guidelines; so the package should try to use only system
libraries and resort to the steam runtime only as a last resort.

Btw, I've run it with the runtime disabled since the first releases and I did
not have any issues, there was only one time where I needed to add libusb and
NetowrkManager libraries. The steam runtime on my system can get up to 250mb.
