That's strange. It disappears only if you're not using a dual card setup with
free drivers; for example loading nvidia.ko makes vga_switcheroo to disappear;
hence the need for bbswitch.

Can you do the following and paste the output?

"lspci | grep -i vga"
"dmesg | grep -i vga"
"lsmod | egrep "i915|nouveau"
