Regarding c#3: we're not pushing our plugins to any distros as separate
packages and have no plans to do so, but are looking into integrating them to
the upstream players/frameworks.

However as libde265 is a standalone library we will need to have a separate
package of the decoder itself which will then be used by the different
player/framework plugins. In a first step, this was GStreamer and we will also
submit patches to upstream FFmpeg/VLC later.

BTW: the GStreamer decoder plugin has now landed upstream [1], so it would be
great to have the libde265 RPM ready to be used by the next version of
"gst-plugins-bad":
