Hi all.

Writing a short introduction in hopes of getting a sponsor for becoming a contributor.

I'm a Finn and enjoy downloading some of the tv content from our national tv company's service (areena) with the handy tool that is available for it: yle-dl. The package provided from rpmfusion was outdated and didn't work. Out of curiocity, I checked bit closer and it seems that I was not the only one who had run into this issue. There is actually a bug report that the version of yle-dl in the repo is out of date and does not work, yet the actual author has made many updates.
Thus, out of curiocity, I decided to see how difficult it would be to build the .rpm. few hours of reading docs and some questions over IRC, I had a package and up to date .spec file. As I've already had the trouble and as I also believe in contributing, I figured I could become a contributor to rpmfusion in a role of maintaining yle-dl package. Apparently the original maintainer has lost interest since the last update from him in the .spec file is from 2012.
So, I've followed the instructions on how to become a contrubitor and would need a sponsor. I'm familiar with fedora in general for using it since F11, but I don't have experience with CVS and build systems. I'm confident that with some tinkering and pointers, I'll manage to get my setup correctly and start contributing. Yle-dl is not a big package, so it's suitable for a newcommer, such as myself. There has been a noticeable update to the package since I've created the review request to bugzilla, which in my opinion indicates the author being committed on keeping the software up to date, which is a vital thing for a package. Similary, I'm also committed for updating the .rpm as needed. Just need a sponsor.
Anyone who finds himself (or herself) idling in IRC with some extra time, I'd appreciate if you'd become my sponsor.

I can be located on IRC (#fedora, #fedora-mate @freenode) with nick japa-fi.
with email, gpg preferred, but not required. (key available at https://www.patanen.com or key id 0x32875e94)
