Mark,

I had noticed that mine had not updated when the kernel did, but it was
working on pcnet32 (I'm running a 32 bit VM).

So, in response to this question, which I only just read, I did:

  yum install kmod-open-vm-tools-2.6.30.8-64.fc11.i586.i586

which worked fine an I now have vmxnet and vmci modules installed which
weren't there before (as well as pcnet32).

Looks like it didn't recognise that 2.6.30 was an update to 2.6.29 so I just
forced the issue - YMMV.
