I really don't understand this whole deal. I have been using LCD for quite a
while and I never found the Fedora fonts ugly at all. I don't think I did
anything special to font rendering other than installing standard Fedora
packages.
My fonts are just as beautiful as the ones that are in your screenshots.
But I use KDE, not Gnome. Does KDE handle things differently?
