Description: Extra codecs for Xine multimedia library. These are free
and open source but left out of the official Fedora repository due to

I'm not sure mentioning the patent issue is mandatory or even a good
idea. Here's how it is worded on Livna's front page :
"rpm.livna.org provides many useful packages that can not be distributed
in Fedora (previously known as Fedora Core and Extras) for one reason or
another [...]"
