Which package in EL-4+ and F-12+ is providing /usr/bin/melt except freeze?
I don't see any package in Fedora/EPEL doing that, am I overlooking one?
And as long as there is no replacement directly in EL-4+ and F-12+, I'm not
going to obsolete my freeze package.
I don't metion you need to retire/obsolete it, just rename melt to some other
names, e.g. freeze-melt or whatever you like.
FYI, Fedora policy also consider file conflict in 3rd repo.
See
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:Conflicts#Potential_Conflicting_F...
Also, I think more packages depends on melt in mlt than melt in freeze.
Renaming melt in mlt is really a bad idea because it cause divergence between
fedora and upstream or other linux distributions. Thus, renaming melt in freeze
will be the best choice.
