I used ffmpeg too; 'libav' would be simply a (good?) alternative.
For example, 'devede' uses both 'ffmpeg' and 'avconv' (from libav).

I followed instructions from Fedora guidelines. Let me see if i know how to
patch 'ffmpeg'.
