I have updated the package to get rid of those DLLs as they are not
used under
Linux according to upstream
(
http://groups.google.com/group/mono-paint-port/browse_thread/thread/ca994...)
Good!
I just found out that something must be missing from the postun macro
as the
menu does not get erased after package uninstallation. Any hints?
Not at first sight. I'll try to have a more detailed look later.
Lastly if someone submits a replacement artwork for the package I
would gladly
submnit the package to Fedora as I do not see anymore road blocks for its
approval.
You can request the logo and the icons to the Fedora Artwork team:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Artwork/DesignService
Or you can try to find some artwork on the net and if it is not licensed with
one of GOOD content license, you can ask its author to change it.
Or you can contact the original artwork designer and ask him to change the
license used.
# The source for this package was pulled from upstream's vcs. Use the
# following commands to generate the tarball:
# $ svn checkout
http://paint-mono.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/
paint-mono-read-only
# $ cd paint-mono-read-only/src
# $ ./configure
# $ make dist
Checkout a specific version. The instruction you provide are not enough to
build the same version you have packaged. It will always checkout the latest.
You must also get rid of the above mentioned DLL's when creating the tarball,
not later. We do not want to ship those in the src.rpm too.
It is even better to include a script among the source files, to create the
tarball.
