I've never read this anywhere, but it's probably a good idea to let someone know that you're seeking sponsorship when you do an unofficial review. Another thing you can do is go through the review trackers on both RPM Fusion and Fedora and see if there's any packages that haven't had any significant review done, or even if there has been, where you catch something someone else missed. On RPM Fusion use the RF_NEW and RF_REVIEW links at the top.
