Just to be shure, I understand everything correct. I should package
another
package for Fedora in order to get sponsored, correct? What happens during this
with this review request?
Hope you can show me a bit the process :D!
Thanks in advance!
For better or worse there's no specific requirement for a number of packages or
reviews to complete, what you basically want to accomplish is showing a sponsor
that you have a basic understanding of both the packaging guidelines and can
apply them in a practical and methodical manner.
I've never read this anywhere, but it's probably a good idea to let someone
know that you're seeking sponsorship when you do an unofficial review.
Another thing you can do is go through the review trackers on both RPM Fusion
and Fedora and see if there's any packages that haven't had any significant
review done, or even if there has been, where you catch something someone else
missed.
On RPM Fusion use the RF_NEW and RF_REVIEW links at the top. Fedora has a
cached page so you don't have to do manual searches in bugzilla:
http://fedoraproject.org/PackageReviewStatus/NEW.html
When I was getting sponsored I was surprised by the vast amount of guidelines
that had to be followed, but it gets easier :)
