I also question a dependency on jack and openal. We shouldn't blindly copy all the mplayer's dependencies - lots of them are just insane (which in turn led to this particular fork). You also bundled 4 (four) mp3 codecs (lame, libmad, libmpg123, ffmpeg) - why? I adwise you to drop everything except ffmpeg. As for a52dec, libmpcdec, gsm, libmpeg2, twolame, xvidcore, x264 - all these codecs has their own realization withing ffmpeg, So why did you add them? I can understand the intent to add x264, and a52dec, which sometimes offer differen (not better, but different) feature set than ffmpeg internal one. But even for x264 it's questionable.
