Mythtv users might also be affected if no users are connected on X
session while mythtv is runned as mythtv users...?!
That's actually a long-standing issue with the current mythtv backend
initscript -- it runs the backend as root, solely because the bulk of
the time when it is started up, no user is logged in, and thus v4l and
dvb devices are all accessibly only by root. Looking into a proper fix
for that has long been on the todo list, just not with a particularly
high priority, so its mostly been ignored for *mumble* years now... :\
