oops. I didn't realize it was SVN. For SVN snapshots, I prefer using the SVN
revision number that can be acquired by running "svnversion" on the base
directory of the downloaded snapshot, rather than the date. But this is a
matter of convention.
As for an .sh script, yes, there is no need. But not "absolutely no need". It
certainly helps some reviewers and some packagers. At the very least, they make
my life easier :)
