The situation is clear, isn't it? To merge
livna+freshrpms+dribble for
fedora 8 and later means that there *must* be an upgrade path for either
one.
So, clearly it needs some sort of feature freeze at livna+freshrpms+dribble
for the following: throw all existing packages from all repos into
rpmfusion, then analyse the breakage and try to fix it. Conflicts between
the separate repos are also due to version differences, not just due to
different package names. It would be quite normal if the changed build
dependencies cause packages to break. Probably there are even pkgs where
the deps are fully incompatible and where multiple lib versions are needed
in the merged repo.
Merging the same package from different repositories has already been
taken care.
Dribble is frozen right now due to the old maintainer's personal
problems. Livna is still being updated. The plan is to update both
Livna and RPM fusion until RPM fusion is officially released.
Breakage of imported Livna packages are already been taken care. Status is here:
http://rpmfusion.org/LivnaImport
There used to be a todo list at
rpmfusion.org - where has it gone?
The infrastructure status is described here:

Andrea.
