I need modify libmpeg3 to verify the patch "to use external libmpeg3"

I also I want unbundle ac52 , I put source in github [2] (none
modification so far ...) , and sync with Debian package as possible .

None package requires libmpeg3, so seems safe to modify , is just used
for cinelerra-cv [3]

So may I commit some changes to libmpeg3 directly , or should I request
to be co-maintainer of package first ?

Hi Sergio,

Given the work you are doing with cinelerra-cv and libmpeg3 , I thik you can apply as a co-maintainer or even take over as primary maintainer.

Now I prefer that you test locally over submitting builds that might or might not work with cinelerra-cv.
