Both. libmlt, libmlt++, and some modules are LGPL. Some other modules and melt
are GPL. The GPL modules must be enabled using --enable-gpl. If you are
installing of this as one package, then you should indicate the package as GPL.
This does not contradict what was recently fixed. There were comment headers in
mlt++ that said LGPL but also incorrectly stated "... You should have received
a copy of the GNU General Public License," which is what was fixed.
Next steps for me are to release this. I already provided a patch for kdenlive
to deal with mlt changes.
