Hi all!
I've just packaged Frogatto (http://www.frogatto.com/) but SRPM is
about 130Mb and it is by far bigger than the current available web
storage I have. Do someone have some suggestion? Or maybe some free
space? ;-)

Hi Andrea,
You can creating a new project on http://www.assembla.com/, then upload your
SRPM on its subversion server like that:
http://subversion.assembla.com/svn/stdair/stdair-0.1.0-1.fc12.src.rpm
Assembla gives every project about 2GB :).

It seems you need to package Frogatto and its data separately.
From Frogatto website:
Please note: the source code (C++) is GPL, however, all content that
differentiates Frogatto as a game is private. We encourage people to
use our engine to make new games, but we don’t want our content used
to make modifications of Frogatto.

I think the can just have a package in RPM Fusion nonfree repo
(upstream do not have different source pacakges for source and data).
Upstream has given they explicit consensus in packaging Frogatto for
RPM Fusion.

I think the can just have a package in RPM Fusion nonfree repo

redistribute those nonfree data :). Nonfree data is acceptable for
fedora.

Several months ago, rpmfusion list have a discussion about
distrubuting nonfree game data, but conclusion are made yet. Should we
also open a such discussion on fedora -devel and game-SIG? It'll
affect a lot of game in the fedora repo.
It seems currently non free game with nonfree data has been

Not true, we already have d1x-shareware and doom-shareware in rpmfusion.
autodownloader was made to deal with games where the data cannot be
re-distributed at all, like x4u. Then I started using it too to package
games where the engine was already in Fedora since there were free data
games using the same engine, which on hindsight might not have been
the best decision. I certainly think it is not a good idea to make
games which use their own dedicated engine and have non free data
use autodownloader, as the engine + game need to be kept in 100% sync
there.

I think most people will agree with you that distributing game data in
rpm instead of autodownloader will be better. I think we should
dicussion this on -devel list and add those description about game
packaging on fedora packaging guideline or some elsewhere because many
games are started to use autodownloader now. Actually, d1x and doom
are both ancient games.

FWIW, I could set up an ssh account for you at lesloueizeh.com. If you
