Hi,
the package xine that has been in rpmfusion is now named xine-ui and is
part of Fedora. The first candidate is available in the Fedora
updates-testing repository, please test it and give it karma at
http://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates
The package should automatically replace your current installation of
xine.
Would you be interested in reviewing the vdpau wrapper library:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=490988
It will work the same as libXvMCW (which is currently used by the
xine-lib package from fedora)
Neverthreless it will probably not work until a vdpau codec is
available (from ffmpeg).
What would be nice is to test if the failure process do not disturb
the general usability (to select another vout).
btw: I expect the directfb wrapper not to work. I will request
directfb 1.2.8 in updates-testing in few days.

PS. There is a minor bug in the package in the updates-testing
repository; it does not update the icon cache in the %post phase. A
fixed package is in the queue to updates-testing at the moment.
Everything should still work as supposed to.
