It seems this is the latest "stable" version, and on top of that, it's the latest version with a working GUI. Furthermore, there doesn't seem to be any viable third party GUI though. At the moment I'm fairly intent on packaging this version. If it helps though, I can change the name to "mupen64plus15" so the latest can also be packaged. As well, I've been having trouble making or getting a patch to make it compile on GCC 4.7, so I haven't posted a new review request.
