urgent MythTV crashes after installing Nvidia drivers

I've swapped repos from atrpms to Fusion and X and KDE starts ok but as soon as I start
Mythfrontend X crashes back to Logon screen

Sound of VLC lags every 8 or 10 seconds

Hi all,
I have some problems while playing audio and video files with the VLC from rpmfusion repo.

This will also happened while playing a videofile. The (visual) scene will be played continuously without any loss of performance. but the sound is laggy. The lag is not really a lag... The sound will not stop at this lag. The sound still continuous, but you can't hear anything about one or two secounds. Video and Audio will not run asynchronously after the lag of the sound. Even in the audio-file.
What is the problem? What can I do? This will only happen on vlc, not on totem. I don't want to switch to totem, I want to use VLC and noting else!

tips on keep certain packages while updating (i.e. nvidia drivers)

Hi:
I have a little problem when updating my nvidia system: usually new kernel
updates pushes the matching kmod-nvidia package to be updated too (which is
nice) but in the process removes old ones, tipically the ones the system is
using at that moment. I'm not a fan of rebooting except when absolutely
need and this behavior makes mad gnome-shell when I restart it (it eats
lots of memory due to memory leaks from hell).
Do you have any tip to keep just certain packages not removed when
updating? using yum -x or /etc/yum/protect.d/* seems no to work for this.

Nvidia 304.xx legacy drivers?

Hi, I was wondering if the Nvidia 304.xx series legacy drivers will be
available on RPMFusion for Fedora 18. The rawhide repo seems to only have
310.xx and 173.xx series right now. 310.xx dropped support for GeForce 7 series
and below, so they won't work with my GPU anymore.
