issues installing ec2-api-tools
by Kwame Bahena
Hi,
I'm using fedora 17 and have configured the free and non-free rpmfusion repos:
[root@wrklp ~]# ls -lhtr /etc/yum.repos.d/ | grep rpmfusion
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1.2K Feb 27 2012 rpmfusion-free-updates.repo
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1.3K Feb 27 2012 rpmfusion-free-rawhide.repo
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1.3K Feb 27 2012 rpmfusion-nonfree-updates.repo
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1.4K Feb 27 2012 rpmfusion-nonfree-rawhide.repo
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1.3K May 18 07:23 rpmfusion-free-updates-testing.repo
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1.3K May 18 07:25 rpmfusion-nonfree-updates-testing.repo
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1.2K May 27 06:46 rpmfusion-free.repo
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1.3K May 27 06:47 rpmfusion-nonfree.repo
[root@wrklp ~]#
When I attempt to install ec2-api-tools rpm I get this error:
[root@wrklp ~]# yum install ec2-api-tools
Loaded plugins: langpacks, presto, refresh-packagekit

Error: Package: ec2-api-tools-1.4.2.4-2.fc17.noarch (rpmfusion-nonfree)
Requires: jaf
You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
[root@wrklp ~]#
So this rpm dependency is broken in the repo. Any idea where to report
it or how to get this solved?
Best regards,
