Unresolved dependecy for Latest kmod-nvidia.x86_64 on F17
by Andre Costa
Hi,
since yesterday when I try to upgrade my F17 x86_64 system I get the
following error:
[snip]
--> Processing Dependency: kernel-uname-r = 3.6.11-5.fc17.x86_64 for
package: 1:kmod-nvidia-3.6.11-5.fc17.x86_64-304.64-1.fc17.7.x86_64

AFAIK Kernel 3.6.11-1 is the latest available, but kmod-nvidia requires
3.6.11-5.
Is this a known issue? Should I file a bug report?

Andre

livna
by Tech Support Department
A couple questions, please.
What is the one package that livna has left? ("All packages have been moved there except one that RPM
Fusion for various reasons didn't want to take.")
Where are the debug packages (http://rpm.livna.org/mirrorlist-debug) my Automatic Bug Reporting Tool
can't find?
Thanks.

My Fedora 18 can't load NVIDIA driver
by Ismael Olea
Hi:
I've just updated from F17 to F18 and found my system can't load the kernel
nvidia driver. For some reason I can't blacklist nouveau:
# lsmod| egrep "(nvidia|nouveau)"
nouveau 817579 2
mxm_wmi 12762 1 nouveau
video 18552 1 nouveau
i2c_algo_bit 13066 1 nouveau
drm_kms_helper 43551 1 nouveau
ttm 62706 1 nouveau
drm 216715 4 ttm,drm_kms_helper,nouveau
i2c_core 28450 6
drm,drm_kms_helper,i2c_algo_bit,nouveau,i2c_nforce2,videodev
wmi 18274 2 mxm_wmi,nouveau
but it's configured:
[root@azofaifo ~]# cat /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-nouveau.conf
# RPM Fusion blacklist for nouveau driver - you need to run as root:
# dracut -f /boot/initramfs-$(uname -r).img $(uname -r)
# if nouveau is loaded despite this file.
blacklist nouveau
I redid the initramfs with dracut but still happens.
If it's useful I upgraded using fedup.
My config:
rpm -qa|grep -i nvidia|grep fc18
xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs-304.64-3.fc18.i686
kmod-nvidia-3.7.2-201.fc18.i686-304.64-2.fc18.2.i686
nvidia-settings-1.0-26.fc18.i686
xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-304.64-3.fc18.i686
kmod-nvidia-304.64-2.fc18.2.i686
nvidia-xconfig-1.0-25.fc18.i686
[root@azofaifo ~]# uname -r
3.7.2-201.fc18.i686
Is it just me?

Nvidia 310 drivers for Fedora 17?
by Michael
With the steam beta release for Linux, I am pretty excited about playing
games under Linux again.
However, it would appear to require the newer nvidia 310 drivers.
Are there any plans to update these for Fedora 17 from rpmfusion?

[F17] Any idea when nVidia 310.19 will be added to RPMFusion repository?
by Jon Danniken
Hello all,
I am wondering if anyone knows if/when the nVidia 310.19 driver will be
added to the RPMFusion repository for Fedora 17. I have read that it is
possible to install this driver and akmod/kmod manually, but to be
honest, I'm not at the stage in my Linux development to be comfortable
in doing that yet.
So, my hope is that it will be added to the RPMFusion repository, but
I'm wondering when. Any ideas? Will it even *be* offered through
RPMFusion?
Thanks for any insight on this,
Jon
