MythTV and EL7/EL8

Hello,
I run EL7 for my MythTV backend. MythTV is up to version 0.31, but RPMFusion for EL7 does not have that version available. RPMFusion for EL8 doesn't have MythTV at all.
Are there any plans to either upgrade the version for 7 or provide a version for 8?

NVIDIA 340xx problem with kernel 5.6.6

Hi list members.
After having worked fine for a number of kernel upgrades from
5.4 to 5.5 ... , the nvidia-340xx module was not automatically
rebuild by kmod during the kernel upgrade to 5.6.6 leaving
the system stuck during the boot process.
Right now I've uninstalled kernel 5.6.6 and
excluded kernel* in /etc/dnf/dnf.conf.
I'm using Fedora 31 on an HP pavilion dv5 laptop
The nvidia driver has been installed following
this: https://rpmfusion.org/Howto/NVIDIA
I've attached the log file:
"/var/cache/akmods/nvidia-340xx/340.108-1-for-5.6.6-200.fc31.x86_64.failed.log"
but the system rejected it with the following message:
"The message is larger than the 128 KB maximum size"
so I've removed the attachment and re-sent the mail.
Can someone kindly help me ?

Kodi 18 and Fedora 32+

Hi all,
With the Fedora 32 release only a few days away I would like to share some info
about Kodi 18.
As you may already be aware Kodi 18 officially supports Python 2.7. Kodi 19 will
support Python 3. Fedora 32 is deprecating Python 2 in a big way. While a barebones
python27 package is still shipped support for it has stopped and libraries are being
removed.[1] Python is used mainly with Kodi add-ons so if you do not use add-ons
this will not affect you.
The Kodi development timeline does not line up with Fedora releases as Kodi 19 may
be months away from a general release and Fedora 32 is coming out in two days. I
have shipped Kodi 18 in RPMFusion with patches to support Python 3.
Unfortunately, add-on support for Python 3 is extremely lacking. Most likely your
add-ons will not work because of how behind add-on developers were with their code.
There is an effort to update add-ons, but the process is very slow.[2]
There is also a crasher bug exhibited on exiting Kodi that I am in the middle of
debugging (Python 3 related) and I will push a package update as soon as I can fix it.
Apologies for the poor user experience, but I was afraid of this anyway and I am not
too surprised at the current state.

How to configure Nvidia driver after driver installation

I am running fedora 30 on a laptop which has an 840M Graphics card. I have installed the Nvidia proprietary drivers using the RPM fusion method. The drivers are usable if I use the __NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 environment variable while launching an app.
However, there are still a couple of problems.
Firstly, when I try to run `LIBVA_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia vainfo`
I get the following error:
Maximum number of clients reached libva error: /usr/lib64/dri/nvidia_drv_video.so init failed
Secondly, the Nvidia Xserver settings dialog does not show any X server settings also the application profiles section is also not usable. It also throws this error when run from command line
nvidia-settings:10481): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: 23:52:57.685: g_object_unref: assertion 'G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed
ERROR: nvidia-settings could not find the registry key file. This file should have been installed along with this driver at /usr/share/nvidia/nvidia-application-profiles-key-documentation
What next steps should I take to get this running properly?
