John,

As far I understand, it's not a video problem, if I choose only audio,
gui freezes anyway...

Thanks, I don't understand how does encodingprofiles.rc work exactly...

OK.  I tried this command line on an HD recording from an old BBC RedButton_HD DVB-T2 and it produced a vlc-playable file.  I suppose Google would have found complaints if kdenlive was failing to transcode, but I have seen failures earlier because of other changes in ffmpeg syntax.  I stopped the transcoding early. I haven't tried running kdenlive yet.   The input filename here is unrelated to that of the original recording, and I'm not recommending use of this command line!

Good luck!

John

I have no problem using ffmpeg from command line, so I wonder if is inherent to this kdenlive build... I've tested on Huayra (an argentinian distro derived from Debian 7) using kdenlve and has no this problem...
