And again. Looking at the 'Thermal settings' in Nvidia X Server settings,
the temp is 53/54 - still no fan coming on?
How to control the fan please - seems not to be settable from this screen?

After using for ~ 5 - 10 mins it starts
blanking (totally) for 3-5 seconds.
Then comes back, no problem.
Repeats after (variable) 5-40 seconds
Will try with another computer (eliminate the screen?).
30 minutes, same display on Windows box. No issues.
Opened the Linux box,
Graphics card fan clear to run.
Case open, Nvidia X server settings show < 44 degrees C.
20 minutes no issue.
I think it was a thermal issue, but clearly resolved now.
Normal Windows use (not gaming), steadies at 43C.
Hopefully now clear.
Hope no one else has this issue?
I suspected a cable was jamming the fan on the GPU
but it seems not.
