nVidia 470.74 in f34

I have two boxes running kde in f34 after several one-version upgrades; both have GeForce GT710 cards. In Wayland, nvidia-settings run from a konsole is 'unable to find display on any available system' and no control panel is displayed. Most other things seem to work, although there is a minor window-positioning error. In X11 the control panel is displayed, but there is also a report like this : https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/t/g-object-get-assertion-g-is-object-... which appears to have been closed on 12 Oct. Is this a known problem that can be cured with a simple 'setting' or does it need a fix? Thanks, John P
