I doubt f29 will get updated as it's due to go EOL in a couple of weeks.

Yes, sorry, I misreadĀ  the email the first time. I don't do updated on the older releases as the updates often get stuck in testing forever, however, unifi is really a binary package so you can install it from any release and it should work.
