I'm starting video editing. The app 'insists' on a better video card. Looking at Nvidia GTX 1050Ti as being all I can afford. Fedora 25, 64 bit. Has anyone used this card / heard good or bad reports please? TiA

My suspicion was that the video card interface wasn't keeping up with the changes I was making (novice not knowing correct way to drive the app), hence the look for an upgrade. Not committed to nouveau - but it does remove a lot of hassle with Fedora upgrading so often? Simpler question. See "Installing the drivers", "Current GeForce...." from the page quoted earlier, and wait... You'll have to wait again after any kernel upgrade. If you have previously installed nvidia drivers *not* packaged by rpmfusion it may be more difficult. But I still don't think swapping from your current card will do much - unless perhaps you have an inadequate power supply. On the Fedora list there is a current thread about problems with video editing in linux. There are, as usual, possible IP issues.
