Yes. But I don't see any reason to not have it generated from the same source
RPM, if that can be done. But is it possible ? (Usually subpackages have
hyphenated trailing names like foo-common, foo-something).

It would be easier for package users to be able to enable the nonfree repo by
just installing a separate rpm. But the smart-gui provides Edit|Channels which
lets the user easily check a box for the nonfree repo if we default it to only 
free enabled.
