xine-lib-extras-freeworld build fails, ffmpeg issue? builder wonkiness?

I can build this just fine locally with mock, but not in rpmfusion's 
buildsys.

Compare/contrast:

me:

failure says:
checking for FFMPEG... configure: error: Package requirements 
(libavcodec >= 51.20.0) were not met:
No package 'libavcodec' found

The root.log's of each look identical to me, both populating buildroot 
with ffmpeg-devel-0.5-2.fc11.

any ideas?
