The problem is not to have it to compile, it's to have it to work!

The hack you are using is sort of "illegal" because from the kernel side, the
drivers isn't expected to use acpica internal functions. 
The build lead to instability of the system

I'm closing to INVALID since there is nothing new under the sun until ATI/AMD
actually get support for 2.6.29 kernel and later.
