I did it intentionally. I thought that third party packages may keep their
files in books and bases directories. The same applies for
%{_datadir}/%{name}/photos directory. This directory is empty, because chess
player photos are not distributed with scid tarball, but I built several
packages with historic and contemporary players which keep their files in
%{_datadir}/%{name}/photos directory.
sounds directory couldn't extended in the same manner because scid hasn't such
functionality.
