You can make the SRPM smaller by stripping out .git from the source tarball.

You can use this command to create a proper tarball:

git archive --format=tar --prefix=cinelerra/ master | gzip -9 >
cinelerra-cv-2.1-git$(date +%Y%m%d).tar.gz
