I would suggest solving the problem like akmod does for kernel module.
We could create a msttcore-fonts-source package that has a virtual provides
msttcore-fonts and once installed, it will build a 'binary' rpm package as
msttcore-fonts and install it. I guess that msttcore-fonts-source package can
eventually be manually uninstalled then.

As we don't build packages as root, we will need a a minimal infrastructure for
this task, like a dedicated user and a place to store the files in the case
they cannot be redistributed.
