--- Comment #4 from Göran Uddeborg <goeran at uddeborg.se> 2010-09-20 12:17:09 ---
I've taken a look at this now, and all requirements seem to be met. The
package rebuilds fine in mock, both 32 and 64 bit variants. Rpmlint has no
comments at all. The sources match the upstreams package. And so on.
I have questions on two of the points on the checklist:
* MUST: The package must meet the Packaging Guidelines …
This package contains a library (and two links to it). But are not in the
system path. Also, there is no -devel package with header files.
Is it so that this is a "backend" in the sense of a "plugin"? Does the base
vdpau library load the libraries via path, and an applications never explicitly
links with it? Or how are they supposed to be used?
* SHOULD: The reviewer should test that the package functions …
Somewhat related to the above question: Is it possible to actually use this
library now? What would I do, if so? Or isn't it useful until some other
package is made (or modified) to use it?
