Newbie question: needsign?

Ok, I searched the old mailing list archives as best I could but
didn't find a good answer.

I assume that NEEDSIGN is a flag/queue of some sort where the package
sits until it is signed with the repo key?

What's the process from this point?

Do I need to do anything else?

Will my package go into -testing?
Since it's the first release I don't know that would be beneficial...
