I went ahead and tried it out. Works pretty well! I can confirm the missing
icon in the About dialog.

This is an upstream problem, but I noticed that when I clicked on the "volume"
button it showed that the volume was all the way up, but when I clicked on the
volume slider (just clicked, didn't actually move it) that the volume got MUCH
louder.
