I can confirm the following package set is running fine here, thank you.

 @updates
  kernel.x86_64                                3.4.7-1.fc16

 @rpmfusion-nonfree-updates
  kmod-nvidia.x86_64                          1:304.32-2.fc16
  kmod-nvidia-3.4.7-1.fc16.x86_64.x86_64      1:304.32-2.fc16
  nvidia-settings.x86_64                      1.0-17.fc16
  nvidia-xconfig.x86_64                       1.0-15.fc16

 @rpmfusion-nonfree-updates-testing
  xorg-x11-drv-nvidia.x86_64                  1:304.32-1.fc16
  xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs.i686               1:304.32-1.fc16
  xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs.x86_64             1:304.32-1.fc16

Adapter is GeForce 8600M GT on Asus V1S laptop, Fedora 16 KDE x86_64.
Business as usual with dual heads, some OpenGL, all good (no SDL test).

FWIW, KRandR seems to receive a little bit more info, still fails thou:
- it did pop up when connecting the VGA cable -- that's new here
- it switched primary to VGA against my orders (I selected LVDS)
- both displays were then active, but it kept showing LVDS only
nVidia's own GUI still works just fine for this, hopefully.
