What is your point exactly? MAME and MESS are now built from the same source,
same goes for the -extras package - the latter mostly for the ease of
maintenance.
qmc2 subpackages are still called sdlmame and sdlmess because this is how the
frontend refers to them internally due to different set of options for SDL and
Windows builds.
